Experienced Vascular Care With a Patient-Focused Approach

Tomas Scharibone, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with more than a decade of vascular-focused nursing experience. As a Vascular Access–Board Certified (VA-BC) specialist and Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), he has worked in surgical and medical intensive care, interventional radiology, and vascular access, including PICC and midline placement across hospital, long-term acute care, and rehabilitation settings. Thomas has also taught PICC insertion and vascular access device selection to nurses through a program affiliated with St. Petersburg College.

Before entering healthcare, Thomas spent 17 years in education. His background as an educator continues to shape his approach to patient care, as he takes the time to help patients understand their vascular health and the plan for protecting it.
